Why take pictures without people in them?

The hotel security folks really ruffled my feathers! This evening I was taking some shots of the lobby interior architecture and decor because I liked how it looked. When I was preparing to take another shot because the previous ones were blurry, Security at the hotel asked me why I was taking so many shots of the lobby because "usually people take pictures with people in them." What a poor and ignorant argument! I happen to like pictures without people in them. It's called artistic vision you bugger!!
