So this morning I sent out my bombshell of an email announcing to my wider group and acquaintances that I would be departing and that Friday would be my last day. It was an interesting experiment because I can gauge the intimacy of the working relationship based on the response or lack thereof. Some responded with good wishes. Others were shocked and asked where I was going. There were no responses from someone whom I've known for over 7 years. How disappointing! Don't worry, I'm not stressing over that though. This is one way to figure out who your "friends" are. This week I'm going to try to meet up for a farewell lunch/coffee with those whom I click.
